Tech loses close game to Miami, 64-63

The men’s basketball team lost its third straight game last Sunday against Miami, 64-63. The loss was Tech’s fourth home conference loss on the year. They have just one conference win, a victory over Virginia Tech back in January.

Women's basketball loses to Boston Coll.

Tech’s Women’s Basketball team fell to Boston College on Sunday up in Chestnut Hill, Mass., 62-53. The loss takes the Jackets to 19-7 on the season and 5-6 in conference play. This is the first time the Jackets have had a losing record in conference since their conference opener against North Carolina back in January.

Softball drops three of five in Tuscaloosa, Ala.

The softball team is off to an unexpected start as they fell to below-.500 after last weekend’s games in Tuscaloosa, Ala. Tech was shut out by No. 1 Alabama in their Thursday night single game, 6-0, and then lost to the Tide again on Saturday 9-5. They managed to come up with some wins this weekend, winning against New Mexico 6-0 to earn a spot in the title game of the Hampton Inn Crimson Classic. Unfortunately, the Jackets did not get a chance to redeem themselves against the Tide due to a rain-out of the championship game scheduled for Sunday.
