Stinger drivers vote "yes" on union
The drivers of the Tech Trolleys and Stinger buses have voted unanimously to join the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 728. This vote coincided with unanimous decisions to join the Teamsters by the other groups of drivers who are employed by First Transit. First Transit, a subsidiary company of FirstGroup PLC, is the employer of drivers at Tech, Emory University, Georgia State University and other Atlanta locales.

Baseball dominates in opener
Tech’s baseball team got the season off to an impressive start over the weekend, sweeping the Youngstown State Penguins in their three-game series. With the win in the season opener, Tech’s season opener all-time record moved to 59-47-3 and 11-4 under Head Coach Danny Hall, who begins his No. 15 season at helm.

A presentation was made explaining a request for $225,000 of Student Activity Fees to fund renovations and updates on the Tech Rec bowling lanes, specifically the pin setters that keep the lanes functional.
