SGA passes annual budget

On Tuesday, April 15, the Undergraduate House of Representatives (UHR) and the Graduate Student Senate (GSS) voted on approving the 2008-2009 Fiscal Year Student Activity Fee (SAF) Budget. The total amount of funds allocated in next year’s budget comes out to $4,269,366. This number is up more than $350,000 from last year’s budget, which allocated $3.9 million for the 2007-2008 fiscal year. Sting Break 2008

The afternoon was stifling as I sat surrounded by the commotion of tech crews lifting metal partitions and cases of Red Bull. All around there were tents filled with flat screen TVs blaring the latest in gaming technology. Off in the distance there was a looping carnival ride for the brave of heart. Before taking the stage I had the opportunity to talk to OK Go’s lead guitarist/vocalist Damian Kulash and bassist/backing vocalist Tim Nordwind about playing at Georgia Tech.
