Students who wish to run for a position in the upcoming Student Government Association (SGA) elections may now pick up applications in the SGA office located in the Student Center commons.

Tech Rec is planning to request $225,000 from the Student Government Association(SGA) to pay for new pinsetters and new equipment to replace the current system running its bowling lanes. The eight current pinsetters were manufactured in the 1950s and 1960s and were previously used before being installed in the 1970s.

Men win 87-79 over Wake Forest, lose 76-74 to Virginia
The Jackets fell to Virginia in a heartbreaking buzzer-beater on Monday night 76-74. The game was their make up game from Feb. 21 when the game was cancelled because of a leak in the roof. This is the Jackets’ sixth loss in the past seven games and moves their overall record to 12-16 and 5-9 in conference.

OUR VIEWS: Consensus Opinion
The Undergraduate House of Representatives was presented with two bills this past Tuesday that have the potential of changing the upcoming elections process for the better. Both bills dealt with the qualifications that a candidate must have in order to run for office. Students now need only to be in the process of completing 30 hours to serve as a major representative and next week the House will vote on a bill regarding the 60 hour qualifications for executive officers.

Last Friday the newly formed student organization One Voice hosted Laleo, a benefit concert at Under the Couch. The concert’s purpose was to inform participants of the reality and horror of child sexual exploitation, especially in Atlanta. To emphasize the purpose of the concert, One Voice decided to name the event Laleo, a Greek word meaning “to speak.”
